7.5 x 55.5mm Swiss Grenade launching cartridge model 1944 (Treib-Pat.44)
I show two variants of the post-1948 version of the Treib-Pat.44. Both have extended brass cases with a zinc wash finish. Primers are of brass, without any visible sealant. Both have a wood plug in the nose and a “cross-hatch” knurled band around the lower case body.
The later (1982) one has the addition of six indents into the neck. Are these to prevent the wood plug being pushed inside the case?
